Cantiague Park has been part of the Nassau County Park system since 1961, and is centrally located in Hicksville, just off the Northern State Parkway and east of the Wantagh State Parkway. When Cantiague Park opened, it represented the second major park that Nassau County managed, along with Eisenhower Park. Cantiague Park was built in response to the needs of a growing population in Nassau County. It was also the first park offering a swimming pool and an artificial skating rink.

Northwell Health Ice Center is a hockey and skating destination, and official practice facility of the New York Islanders. The state-of-the-art facility boasts two NHL size rinks, a strength and conditioning gym, a rehabilitation center, the New York Islanders Pro Shop, and much more.

Christopher Morley Park is set on 98 acres is centrally located in the northern part of the county. The park has been in the Nassau County park system since 1961. The County paid $704,000 for the property, which was the former Estate of Nettie Ryan and included the Links Golf Club. The park is named after Christopher Morley, one of the foremost American "men of letters" in the 20th century, a prolific writer who produced more than 50 books, including several popular novels, plays, poetry and essays. He also edited two volumes of "Bartlett's Familiar Quotations" and was a founder of the Book of the Month Club.
Grant Park Outdoor Ice Skating Rink

Grant Park is chock full of sports; starting with its popular outdoor ice skating/roller rink, open for public session year round and available for hire. The 35-acre park offers an artificial ice skating rink and sledding on its hill during those cool winter months as well. Horseshoes, shuffleboard, basketball, tennis, soccer, and softball are some of the other sports open to visitors. The park's three separate play areas are divided by age group. A nearby lake provides scenic views enjoyed by many anglers seeking bass of other freshwater fish.
