Adam Leo

Adam Leo brings more than two decades of hockey perspective, a deep passion for the sport, and a deep commitment to youth development to the bench as part of the Lions 12U A team for the 2026-2027 season.

Adam’s coaching journey began in 2000 in Arlington, Massachusetts, where he first discovered his passion for mentoring young athletes. A former competitive player himself, Adam honed his skills and hockey sense playing high school hockey for the Kellenberg Memorial High School Firebirds. After a hiatus from the bench, he returned to coaching in 2022 with the Long Island Arrows organization, reinstating his dedication to growing the local hockey community.

In 2025, Adam joined the Nassau County Lions organization as an Assistant Coach for the 10U AA team, where his structured approach to player advancement immediately benefited the roster.

Throughout his tenure, Coach Leo has focused on building advanced technical skills, situational awareness, and strong personal character in his players. He excels at creating a disciplined, yet supportive, environment that challenges athletes to reach their highest potential, while fostering a genuine love for the game.

His coaching philosophy centers on overall athletic development, emphasizing that the lessons learned on the ice translate roll over into valuable life lessons.

"My goal is to instill a lifelong love for hockey while teaching the values of teamwork, accountability, and resilience," Coach Leo states. "Seeing a young player gain confidence and master a new skill is the most rewarding part of being on the bench."
