Pete Nawrocki

Coach Pete Nawrocki began his career with the Nassau Lions in 2016. He has since coached every level of youth hockey from 8U through 18U with the Nassau Lions, LI Royals, and Freeport Arrows. He has also served as head coach of the Bellmore-Merrick Middle School team and assistant coach of the JV club team.

During his playing days, Coach Pete was an accomplished goaltender and a founding member of the New York State Court Officers hockey team.

Coach Pete returned to the Lions organization in 2025, and his 9U AA team went on to win both the HVHL and EJEPL championships.

“My coaching philosophy centers on developing complete hockey players and better people through hard work, accountability, and a genuine love of the game. High standards never get lowered, but they are delivered through teaching, calm accountability, and genuine relationships—not yelling or intimidation. Mistakes become learning moments for all of my players.”
